Mayweather: First Remarks Since Announcement

Floyd Mayweather looks to improve to 50-0, as he takes on Conor McGregor in a long-anticipated superfight in Las Vegas on Aug. 26. At  the premiere of “All Eyez On Me”, Mayweather made his first statement on the fight since its announcement.

During the interview, Mayweather gave his own props to McGregor and his abilities and accomplishments.

"McGregor is a tough competitor. People all around the world demanded this fight so I had to give them what they wanted to see," Mayweather said. "They asked for this fight. I was in retirement, but they wanted me back and I’m back."

"Both parties are very happy. He’s very happy, I’m very happy and I can’t wait."
