Mayweather Over Conor McGregor Talk
TMZ got a hold of Floyd Mayweather and asked the questions that have been asked over and over. Real fight fans entertained the long shot idea of McGregor and Mayweather boxing match but fight fans have since moved on from this notion.
"Has he ever made $300 million in one night?" Floyd asked TMZ
"Have you ever made $100 million in one night? Have you ever made $70 million in one night?" Mayweather asked Conor through TMZ directly.
"I’m a legend, a living legend. To the sport of boxing I gave years and years of hard work. It was blood, sweat and tears. I had a tremendous team, I had a tremendous run. I think that it’s time for Conor McGregor to go out there and do what he do." Mayweather spoke respectfully of McGregor but cleary he is over the hype train that has lost steam over the coming months with the media and real fight fans.
The most interesting quote came towards the end of the encounter between Mayweather and the TMZ reporter. This quote speaks to the experience Floyd has running the hype game that has made him a millionaire and the most polarizing figure in sports for a long time, "But never compare Conor McGregor to me. That’s total disrespect. I am an elephant. Elephant don’t beef with ants. Elephant is so large he don’t even see ants."
