Even though a fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather is supposedly to be finalized this week, Mayweather seems to be planning a “tune-up” before facing the Filipino senator.
Last week at a music festival in Tokyo, Mayweather called out Pacquiao for a rematch of their 2015 showdown this December, now Mayweather may be pivoting for 2019.
In a video released by TMZ, Mayweather is looking for two fights, the first in Tokyo against an unnamed opponent later this year.
Per TMZ, Mayweather is not only looking at boxers for opponents, but also kickboxers and MMA fighters, as cross-sport fights are commonplace in Japan where Mayweather is looking to expand his business interests.
