On a recent appearance on The Herd with Colin Cowherd, UFC President Dana White addressed the potential boxing vs. MMA superfight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor once more. In response to a claim by Mayweather that he offered McGregor $15 million, White denied that but proceeded to make a different offer: White offered both fighters $25 million plus a cut of the pay-per-view profits.
In response, Mayweather laughed at the offer, telling the UFC boss he should try doing comedy.
Of course, Mayweather, with how much he has made throughout his career, may consider $25 million mere dollars. But the point to White’s response is that it’s a heck of a lot more money than any normal person makes, and White believes Mayweather is not above McGregor’s level in terms of superstardom.
