Mayweather Starting To Spar For Nasukawa

Whether it’s an exhibition or not, Floyd Mayweather has begun to prepare for his December 31st return to the ring against Tenshin Nasukawa.

The exhibition is set to see the 41 year-old return to the ring for the first time since his August 2017 win over Conor McGregor, as he faces undefeated kickboxer and mixed martial artist, Nasukawa, on the Rizin 14 card on December 31st.

Former Mayweather Promotions fighter Ashley Theophane confirmed to World Boxing News that Mayweather is back in the gym, and has his eyes on more than one fight.

“Floyd is back sparring. He could be sparring because of the exhibition in Japan. But all I know is he’s sparring for something. The public will know when he wants them to,” Theophane exclusively told World Boxing News.

“Obviously, Pacquiao is fighting Broner. If Broner wins, I can’t see Floyd fighting him but you never know. But the Pacquiao rematch is possible,” Theophane explained.

“I think any rematch depends on how good Manny looks against Broner when they fight next month.

“If Pacquaio gets another fight, I think Floyd will win again. It’s possible the Mayweather v Pacquiao could make 100 million.”
