McGregor Declines To Press Charges After Brawl

After three of Khabib Nurmagomedov’s teammates jumped into the Octagon and attacked Conor McGregor and his team following UFC 229, they would immediately put in handcuffs.

Yet, they would be able to leave the T-Mobile Arena of their own volition on Saturday night because of the man they attacked.

“They were released because Conor didn’t want to press charges,” UFC President Dana White said after the event.

Even though Nurmagomedov’s teammates were not going to jail, White is not looking to be as kind to the lightweight champion’s teammates.

Two of the fighters were identified as UFC fighters Islam Makhachev and Zubaira Tukhugov,  and according White “will never fight here.”

Which will eliminate the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 138, where Tukhugov was set to face McGregor teammate and flashpoint for this feud between Nurmagomedov and McGregor, Artem Lobov.

White said the Nevada State Athletic Commission, is currently conducting an investigation into the incident. The commission pulled footage from the UFC and withheld Nurmagomedov’s  $2 million purse from the fight.
