McGregor Delivers On Medical Supply Promise

In the wake of the coronavirus, people are looking to their government officials for guidance. But what about athletes and celebrity figures? One of the biggest advocates for everyone’s safety happens to come from the world of MMA.

Abut a month ago, Conor McGregor had a conversation with Irish Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe about keeping Ireland safe. The “Notorious” One mentioned the idea of taking measures to ensure people do their part and continue to utilize social distancing. He also discussed helping with the medical work that has been done since the virus has spread. He offered a generous donation for those in need.

“Today I am purchasing myself, €1 million euro worth of personal protective equipment to be deployed to all the fighting hospitals in the Leinster region,” McGregor stated. “Our most affected region, to this date.

“St. James, Mater, Tallaght, Beaumont, Vincent’s. Where we would be without these brave men and women, i do not know. May God bless over them and keep them safe!”

It appears that McGregor is a man of his word. In a series of posts, McGregor shared several trucks with masks heading to hospitals all over Ireland.

During the initial post, Ireland had over 1,564 cases of the virus, with nine deaths. Now there are over 1,0647 cases with 365 deaths. McGregor has continued to lead all forms of contact within Ireland, speaking with Stena Line Group and the people of Ireland personally.

As of now, all of Ireland is not shut down. McGregor has been speaking of a revolution of sorts, but in reality hopes everything can be halted sooner rather than later.
