McGregor Gets Bail, Next Court Date Set

Ariel Helwani confirmed that McGregor has had bail set at $50,000, with the next hearing set for June 14th.

His mugshot from the 78th Precinct:

In a video obtained by TMZ, McGregor nad his team went towards one of the buses leaving the venue in downtown Brooklyn, which included members of Khabib Nurmagomedov’s team.

The video shows McGregor attempting to throw a guardrail and what looked to be a metal garbage can, but was stopped.

Reported by TMZ and Ariel Helwani was an object thrown at the bus breaking a window and leaving lightweight fighter Michael Chiesa injured.

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp has posted a video from inside the bus showing McGregor and his team attempting to destroy the van.

The NYPD was called regarding a fight involving 25 males, while an EMS was called to the scene to treat injures.

While there is no confirmation on what triggered the near brawl, it may be traced back to a heated confrontation Nurmagomedov had with McGregor’s friend and training partner, Artem Lobov, at the UFC’s hotel on Tuesday.

Dana White commented claiming McGregor’s actions were “criminal, disgusting and it makes me sick.”

ESPN’s Brett Okatomo confirmed that Artem Lobov was a part of the crew that stormed Barclays Center, and that Michael Chiesa is now hospitalized due to cuts to his face.

Per ABC News there is no warrant out for McGregor’s arrest.

The below video shows McGregor throwing a dolly at the window, busting it open. UFC champion Rose Namajunas confirmed she was almost injured in the incident, but is just startled by the actions of McGregor and company.

Dana White is no longer interested in doing business with Conor McGregor….

“Listen. you don’t like Khabib… fight him… we could have talked and made Khabib fight… you could have done what ever you wanted to, to Khabib within the limits and rules of fighting…. You wanna grab 30 f**** friends and do what you did today?”

When asked what he made of this, White was just dumbstruck, “I don’t know if he’s on drugs or what,” claimed the UFC President to ESPN’s Brett Okamoto.

Per TMZ and New York Local News, McGregor has turned himself in for questioning, but has not been charged with anything as of 11:00pm EST.
McGregor turned himself in and there is a charge pending, a spokesperson for the NYPD told MMA Fighting. He was wanted for questioning for the incident on April 5th.

NBC New York and Newsday were the first to report the news of McGregor being in custody. But the NYPD spokesperson noted he has not been arrested, though it’s possible he will be.

“He turned himself in, and the investigation is ongoing,” the spokesperson said. “No charges.”

Per a report from the Associated Press and ESPN, McGregor was charged early Friday morning with three counts of misdemeanor assault and one count of felony criminal mischief after turning himself Thursday night.

Cian Cowley, a fighter who was part of McGregor’s group that caused the melee, also was charged with assault and criminal mischief.

Per WBZ Boston, McGregor was taken in handcuffs from the 78th precinct to Kings County Courthouse in Brooklyn, where he will be charged on three counts of misdemeanor assault and one count of felony criminal mischief after turning himself Thursday night.
