The MMA community has been discussing Conor McGregor’s potential comback after he gave away a hint over a potential return date in December against Michael Chandler.
McGregor is coming back from a massive injury. He broke his tibia in the trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier, and since that fight, he has not entered the octagon.
Chandler, on the other hand, has suffered defeats against Charles Oliveira, Justin Gaethje, and Poirier.
As such McGregor posted a screenshot, which has since then been deleted, showing the UFC 296 card with him and Chandler headlining the event.

“UFC 296: Chandler v McGregor, 9pm on Saturday 16th December 2023. 111 days, 18 hours, 42 minutes and 13 seconds”, seemingly confirming an event for the 16th December,” McGregor
Despite this being the case, McGregor has not entered into the USADA testing pool. This requires athletes to submit two negative samples over a six-month period before they can fight.
Therefore, regardless of what McGregor says, a fight looks unlikely in 2023. And there is no getting away from that.
