McGregor Hints At UFC 300 Bout; Chandler Responds

Conor McGregor has now hinted he could be fighting at UFC 300.

McGregor’s comments backtrack on those he made on New Year’s Day, during which he announced he would be facing Michael Chandler on June 29. Dana White responded by downplaying those comments, suggesting that the UFC would announce his return.

“Uuuuh, no. When Conor is ready to fight, you know we’ll announce it. That’s what we’ll do,” White said

McGregor has been absent since his loss and injury to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in 2021. That has understandably left MMA fans wondering when he will return, given he has now entered the USADA testing pool, making him eligible to fight when UFC 300 comes around. With April 13 around the corner, the date for UFC 300, McGregor has now hinted he will appear on the card.

The UFC has yet to respond to McGregor’s comments, nor did McGregor confirm whether he would face Chandler. But the American was fully behind the idea.
