McGregor Not Near Plea Deal

Four days away from his return to a New York City Courtroom, Conor McGregor is still not closer to ending his current legal situation, per his representatives.

While TMZ reported that McGregor struck a deal with prosecutors, McGregor’s legal team shot that down in a statement to MMA Fighting.

“There is no accuracy to recent tabloid reports speculating about a potential plea for Conor McGregor,” spokesperson Karen Kessler wrote in a statement for Cozen O’Connor, McGregor’s attorney.

“We do not, and will not comment on any discussions we may or may not be having with the DA’s office.”

McGregor is charged with three counts of assault and one count of criminal mischief, for his role in an attack of a bus during UFC 223, which injured fighters Michael Chiesa and Ray Borg.

McGregor’s next Brooklyn court appearance is scheduled for July 26.
