McGregor Responds After His Chandler Presser Was Postponed

Conor McGregor has responded after his presser with Michael Chandler was postponed.

The press conference was scheduled for June 3 at the 3Arena in Dublin at noon ET. It was in readiness for their UFC 303 clash on June 29 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. McGregor makes his comeback after his defeat to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in 2021. Three losses in his last four UFC fights have raised questions over his form.

However, the tickets for the presser sold out in only nine minutes. The live gate has also produced a new UFC record, exceeding $20 million. Those numbers suggested that McGregor is a bigger draw than ever. However, the UFC disappointed MMA fans when they announced the presser was off.

No reasons were given, nor was a new date set. Rumors are circulating that McGregor may not make the fight. The UFC fighter was recently pictured partying at his Black Forge Pub with around a month left to go before the fight, suggesting he was not taking it seriously. McGregor has allayed those worries by saying there were ‘obstacles’ outside his control which prevented the presser. But that has left MMA fans with plenty to ponder.
