McGregor Teases A Run At The Irish Presidency

Conor McGregor has teased an Irish Presidential run for next year.

McGregor has previously spoken about political issues, citing his dissatisfaction with the Irish immigration system. The Notorious questioned whether there were enough safeguards to ensure that those entering Ireland could be monitored as tensions grew in the country.

“For too long Ireland has put up with policies that do not ensure that those entering our country are of the character, skills and desire to benefit Ireland. WE WILL NEVER ACCEPT THIS BETRAYAL OF OUR COUNTRY,” McGregor said

McGergor’s primary focus, however, is on returning to fighting. His last UFC fight was a 2021 defeat to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. He was on course to fight Michael Chandler at UFC 303 on June 29. But McGregor pulled out with a broken toe. He is still expected to fight, but McGregor has also set his sights on entering into politics.

McGregor’s comments may well be in jest. However, it has gotten fans talking with some ready to support a presidential run.
