McGregor to Appear in ‘Game of Thrones’
UFC superstar Conor McGregor will appear in HBO’s hit series "Game of Thrones", according to UFC President Dana White.
White said that the show’s producers are massive fans of the Irish champion, and they have been reaching out about working with him for months.
"I knew…a few months ago they were interested in putting him in the show," White said on FOX Sports Live. "And I’m glad he did it. It will be great."
McGregor last fought at UFC 205 in November, where he knocked out Eddie Alvarez to win the lightweight championship. The superstar fighter is expected to take a hiatus from the sport, as he expects his first child in May of 2017. White recently said that McGregor will be out for ten months.
There are no official details concerning McGregor’s role in the show yet. One rumor states McGregor will play the role of a crew member of Euron Greyjoy’s ship, The Silence, named as such because all crew members have their tongues cut off. This would mean the UFC lightweight champion, known for his loud mouth and trash talk, would have no words to say on the show.
