McGregor vs. Chandler Could Be In Doubt – ‘They Have Sent Out Feelers To See Who Might Fill In’

Ariel Helwani has said the UFC put out ‘feelers’ to find a replacement for the Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler main event

The UFC 303 event takes place on June 29 during International Fight Week. It is McGregor’s first fight since 2021, when he lost to Dustin Poirier. He suffered a leg injury, which has kept him out for a prolonged period. Naturally, the anticipation of seeing McGregor return has been growing. The live gate for the event has set a UFC record of over $20 million. The first presser for the event was set for June 3 from the 3Arena in Dublin. Tickets sold out in just nine minutes. However, the UFC called the presser off until further notice.

McGregor eventually responded, telling fans there were ‘obstacles’ preventing it from happening. Rumors began that the fight might not go ahead. While Helwani expects it to happen, he has suggested the UFC was considering replacements.
