McGregor’s 18-Month Suspension Over

Conor McGregor’s 18-month anti-doping suspension has concluded, making The “Notorious” eligible to return to the Octagon.

McGregor’s suspension was handed down by Combat Sports Anti-Doping (CSAD) following three “whereabouts failures” in 2024. The missed tests occurred on June 13, September 19, and September 20, 2024. While three failures typically carry a two-year ban, CSAD reduced the sanction to 18 months. Credit was given due to McGregor’s full cooperation and the “mitigating circumstances” surrounding his recovery from the leg injury suffered at UFC 264 against Dustin Poirier in 2021.

Since re-entering the pool, McGregor has been active in his testing requirements, reportedly providing multiple clean samples throughout 2025 and early 2026. With the UFC 250 Freedom 250 White House card now finalized, without McGregor, The Notorious is being linked with a headline fight during International Fight Week in June.
