McGregor’s Return Moves A Little Closer

Conor McGregor’s latest post has fueled rumors that a return date is close. 

The update follows a reported meeting at UFC headquarters, as Conor seeks his first bout since his defeat to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in 2021. McGregor suffered a broken leg in that fight, while he pulled out before his Michael Chandler bout for UFC 303 due to a broken pinky toe in training.

While many expected McGregor to feel angered after being left off the UFC Freedom 250 (White House) card, the Irishman is staying positive. Insiders suggest McGregor’s hip and leg health were major factors in the decision to push his return past June, ensuring he is 100% ready. All signs now point to McGregor headlining the July 11, 2026, pay-per-view in Las Vegas, during international fight week.
