Merab Dvalishvili Vs. Petr Yan Targeted For UFC Fight Night 221 Main Event

Two top bantamweights are reportedly going head-to-head.
Rising Georgian fighter Merab Dvalishvili will face former UFC bantamweight champion Petr Yan in a five-round main event for UFC Fight Night 221. It is reportedly set for March 11 at The Theater at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas.
MMA Junkie confirmed the news with sources, including Dvalishvili’s manager Oren Hodak. Contracts have yet to be signed.
Dvalishvili (15-4) is on an eight-fight winning streak. He sent former UFC great Jose Aldo into retirement with a unanimous decision win at UFC 278.
Yan (16-4) is coming off of a two-fight losing streak, which was handed by champion Aljamain Sterling and fellow top contender Sean O’Malley.
