Former San Diego Charger linebacker Shawne Merriman’s MMA promotion, Lights Out Xtreme Fighting, is set for a return this weekend, featuring another ex NFL defensive player making his MMA debut.
Former Charger, Dolphin, and Saint, Chris McCain will transition from defensive lineman to mixed martial artist, in a featured bout on the card against a to be named opponent for his debut fight.
Two titles will be on the line, as Jack May will defend his LXF heavyweight title against Jay Silva in the card’s main event. May, a Bellator, UFC, PFL, and K-1 veteran, grabbed hold of the title in stoppage win over Mike Quintero at LXF 1.
The LXF featherweight title will be on the line as well, as A.J. Bryant and Jarez Papazian will face off in at 135-pounds for the vacant title.
