Michael Hunter Believes Hughie Fury Is No Match For Him

Michael Hunter (20-1-2, 14 KOs) feels that Hughie Fury (26-3-0, 15 KOs) doesn’t have the tools to scare him. Hughie is the younger cousin of Tyson, and he is expected to give the American fighter a tough time.

However, Hunter isn’t intimidated by Fury. Their match is set to take place on July 2. The last time Hunter came to the United Kingdom was in 2018 when he shocked the world with a stoppage-time win over Martin Bakole.

The battle between Fury and Hunter will be a WBA final eliminator. The winner of this battle will get a chance to come up against the winner of Trevor Bryan and Daniel Dubois, who will be competing for the WBA title next Saturday.

“He simply doesn’t have the punching power to hurt me. I am not saying that he’s easy to fight against. He is a decent boxer and has got some skills to show. He is tall and comes from the Fury family that have people in the same domain as him,” Hunter said.

“The biggest thing I can say is that Hughie comes from a fighting family. However, he’s not a great puncher. And I am talking technically here. I am excited to come to England and entertain the audience through my skills,” Hunter concluded.
