Michael Page Is A Free Agent – So What’s Next?
Michael Page has revealed that he is now a free agent following the expiry of his contract with Bellator.
According to reports, Page’s contract came to an end after both sides failed to reach a suitable agreement.
The MMA star had been with Bellator for a matter of nine years. However, Page is now considering his options moving forward.
His Bellator record consists of 19 fights (17 wins) which included significant wins over Douglas Lima and Paul Daley.
Meanwhile, Page’s losses were in title fights showing that the MMA star had fallen short at world level: his defeat to Logan Storley.
However, his last fight was a TKO-win over Goiti Yamauchi at Bellator 292. This naturally begs the question: what are the next steps?
Well, Page has spoken previously about fighting under the UFC once his Bellator deal was over.
And given reports that Bellator and the PFL could merge together, Page has opted for a new challenge. But for now he is keeping his options open.
“I am currently unemployed. I think it’s time for me to just explore what else is out there. It doesn’t mean I’m not going to go back with Bellator. It just means I want to see what other people think of ‘MVP.’
“I want to see where my value is at. I want to see my worth. It doesn’t mean the journey has stopped here. It just means I’m having another look,” Page
Page will make an appearance at UFC London for the Aspinall vs. Tybura fight. And that will only increase speculation that a move to the UFC could follow. Time will tell.
