Michael Page Wants UFC Contract Once He Settles Business In Bellator

Bellator Welterweight Michael Page is hoping to transition to the UFC at some point.

Page is currently the number two-ranked Bellator 170-pounder. He is fresh off a devastating TKO victory over Derek Anderson. Page shattered Anderson’s nose with a high kick.

Page appeared on Michael Bisping’s Believe You Me podcast and admitted that eventually, he wants to try his hand with the UFC (via MMAFighting.com).

“I enjoy Bellator. I enjoy where I’m at and I enjoy my success so far, but I definitely feel like I need to touch the UFC at some point and just test myself there as well. There are some great matches to be made over there so I definitely think in the future—I don’t know when—obviously I’m contracted to being in Bellator, and I’ve got some goals to achieve there as well. I feel like I’m close to doing that.

“But until then, I definitely still see myself going [over to the UFC].”

Page has just one loss in his pro MMA career. That was against current Bellator Welterweight Champion Douglas Lima. Lima won the fight via second-round knockout. Page has gone 5-0 since that fight. He has been angling to challenge the winner of Lima vs. Yaroslav Amosov, which is set to take place on June 11.
