Mickey Gall Vs. Mike Perry Reportedly Set For June 27 UFC Event
A highly-entertaining welterweight bout looks to be coming to Las Vegas. According to ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, Mickey Gall and Mike Perry will face off on June 27.
Gall (6-2) is coming off of a unanimous decision win against Salim Touahri back in August. He is 2-2 in his last four fights and is 4-2 in the UFC. The 28-year-old was supposed to face Alex Oliveira back in February but was pulled from the fight in December.
A former boxer, Perry (13-6) is on a two-fight losing streak and is 2-5 in his last seven contests. He fought three times in 2019, going 1-2. “Platinum” beat Oliveira in April 2019, lost to Vicente Luque in August, and just recently lost to Geoff Neal via TKO back in December.
Back in April, Gall spoke with MMA Fighting’s Mike Heck about potentially having a bout with Perry. It was another interesting challenge by Gall, who has been known to call out fighters whenever he gets the chance.
The UFC event on June 27 is currently expected to take place inside the UFC’s APEX Center in Las Vegas. The main event is reportedly Dustin Poirier v. Dan Hooker.
