Midweek Boxing Results – Here’s What Happened

Boxing returned to our screens this week, with fans treated to great events. With stacked undercards and knockout performances, it didn’t disappoint.

With that being said, here’s what happened.

Michael Eifert Vs. Jean Pascal

In an IBF eliminator, Michael Eifert, the IBF Inter-Continental champion, defeated Jean Pascal, the former WBA World and WBC Silver Light Heavyweight champion.

Despite being considered an underdog, Eifert surprisingly defeated Pascal in a 12-round bout held at Place Bell in Laval, Quebec, Canada.

Eifert’s disciplined and fit performance enabled him to effectively utilize his jabs while dodging Pascal’s erratic swings, ultimately out-boxing the 40-year-old opponent.

Eifert, who had never gone 12 rounds in his four years as a professional boxer, won the fight, according to all three judges, in a unanimous decision.

Calum Walsh Vs. Wesley Tucker

Callum Walsh used a series of quick combinations to knock down Wesley Tucker three times in the second round, as a result, the fight was called off.

Tucker was quickly pushed back by Walsh (6-0, 5 KOs), who began a series of attacks while Tucker tried to find a chance to counter.

Although Tucker connected once with a left hook, Walsh was not deterred and continued with a relentless barrage of punches.

After the first knockdown, Tucker complained to the referee that he had been touched on the top of his head, but it was to no avail.

Just a minute later, he was hit again with a series of punches, which included two powerful right hooks to his body.

This caused him to slump down along the ropes, resting on the bottom strand, before finally sitting down on his trunks and receiving an eight-count.

Despite being able to rise to his feet, Tucker was in no condition to continue the fight, and the referee waved off the action at 2:59 of round 2.
