Miesha Tate Earned Another Victory, This Time On TV Show

Miesha Tate, the former UFC bantamweight champion, can now call herself the champion of an extensive reality television program.

Tate won Celebrity Big Brother, a Survivor-style show where many celebrities live in a house and participate in different competitions. Tate was regarded as the frontrunner after winning the position of Head of Household, who controls who is evicted and kicked off the show.

Tate could be seen practicing MMA and working out in preparation for her return to the octagon during the exhibition.

She’ll make her flyweight debut against Lauren Murphy later this year at May’s UFC Fight Night event.

Tate will get a $250,000 grand prize if she wins this show’s season.

Tate’s most recent appearance on a reality show was as a coach on Season 18 of The Ultimate Fighter with Ronda Rousey. The two bantamweight rivals fought at the end of the season; Ronda Rousey won by submission.

In November, Tate most recently lost to Ketlen Vieira, her second bout back after retiring. When she returned to the ring, she easily defeated Marion Reneau.
