Miesha Tate Vs. Lauren Murphy Moved To UFC Long Island

Miesha Tate will still be getting her flyweight debut after all.

It was under question after Murphy was ruled out due to undisclosed reasons. The promotion was looking for a replacement on Sunday, but on Monday, they gave an update and said it will now take place at UFC Long Island on July 16 at the UBS Arena.

Tate, a former UFC bantamweight champion, is looking to get back into the winning column – and get back into it permanently.

In her last outing, she lost by unanimous decision to Ketlen Vieira. Before that, she defeated Marion Reneau by KO/TKO in July 2021, which was a return from a five-year hiatus.

Murphy will return after getting stopped by Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 266 this past September.

The event will be headlined by featherweights Brian Ortega and Yair Rodriguez.
