It’s a huge claim to call yourself the “best fighter in the world,” but Mike Perry definitely feels that he has all the credentials to be called one. The former UFC welterweight seems to have found a new home at BKFC.
Perry, who currently has a 2-0 record in bare-knuckle, came through a hard-fought contest against Michael “Venom” Page in his recent fight. However, the 30-year-old has so much confidence in his abilities that he has welcomed the likes of former UFC light heavyweight Jon Jones and current unified boxing heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk to the BKFC ring.
The American fighter has extended his challenge to YouTuber and rapper KSI, who was reportedly in attendance for BKFC 27 last week.
“I haven’t seen Jon in a while, so if Jon Jones wants to come to beat me up in bare knuckle then I’d be down,” Perry told Ariel Helwani during a recent appearance on The MMA Hour.
“That’s my boy, I love fighting, man. So, I want to fight the best. Usyk, if you wanna come, or KSI was at the fight, I don’t think he wants those problems. As far as bare-knuckle boxing, a lot of people might not want it. I mean who’s the best fighter out there right now? It’s me, I am!”
