Mike Perry Eyes Conor McGregor Fight In BKFC

Mike Perry is hopeful of fighting Conor McGregor in BKFC.

Perry remains undefeated in BKFC, with a 5-0 record. He stopped Thiago Alves in his last fight during the first round, continuing his impressive start since leaving the UFC. Perry’s UFC career suffered, as he lost four of his last five fights. Following McGregor’s part ownership of BKFC, Perry wants to face the Irishman.

McGregor confirmed his ownership during BKFC KnuckleMania 4. He had been building his interest in the organization, famously facing off against Perry at BKFC 41 last year. McGregor has also sponsored their events with Proper Twelve and Forged Irish Stout. Perry felt he could give McGregor a tough challenge.

“Maybe a Conor fight [could happen]. The only thing about the Conor fight that could be a possibility is just time. Because he still has two [fights] on his UFC contract. After he fights Michael Chandler, he’ll have one, and then the UFC’s coming to the table, probably going to attempt to lock him down on deals and probably the best deals you can put together, I don’t know. If he wanted to do it, that would be his choice. That is why he still fights because he wants to. I can respect that all day. A fight would be very fun considering we both fought Eddie Alvarez and he pieced him up real clean,” Perry said

McGregor is currently preparing for Michael Chandler on June 29 at UFC 303. Fans are waiting to see how he will look since losing and breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in 2021. Three defeats out of his last four UFC bouts make McGregor’s future uncertain. If he beats Chandler convincingly and leaves the UFC, McGregor has the potential to build BKFC by fighting in it.
