This past weekend at BKFC 82, Mike Perry met up with another former UFC competitor in Jeremy Stephens, who quickly realized this is Perry’s stage.
Throughout the bout, Perry successfully kept to his usual bare knuckle strategy by rolling with his opponent’s shots and then delivering counters at the right opportunities. By the 5th round, Stephens was truly starting to see why ‘Platinum’ holds so much respect in the BKFC world. Struggling through fatigue and a very game opponent, Perry was able to knock down Stephens on multiple occasions in the final stanza, ultimately securing the victory via TKO by referee stoppage.
Through this victory, Perry added a 6th victory to his record in bare knuckle boxing, having finished former UFC fighters such as Eddie Alvarez, Thiago Alves and Luke Rockhold in the past. Additionally, he retained his ‘King of Violence’ belt through the affair, and certainly lived up to his title.
