Mike Tyson Bans Weed And Sex Before Jake Paul Fight

Mike Tyson is on a sex and marijuana ban as he prepares to face Jake Paul on July 20.

Tyson has his first fight since boxing Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition in 2020. There have been safety concerns heading into the fight. Tyson will be 58 by the time of the fight against the much younger Paul at 28. There are doubts about whether it will be a professionally sanctioned fight. Tyson referred to it as an exhibition, later clarifying it was a ‘fight,’ while Paul spoke about his desire to make it a professional bout. Now, the fight has been confirmed as a pro one.

To get himself in the best shape, Tyson will give up sex and marijuana. Iron Mike is known for his marijuana usage, claiming it helped him find ‘inner peace.’ He also owns a weed company, Tyson 2.0, in the US, selling products across 24 states. Tyson has admitted to smoking $40,000 worth of weed every month. But for this fight, he will go cold Turkey as he is training three times a day.

“Right now, I’m living my life disciplined: it’s been six weeks that I haven’t gotten high or had sex. I haven’t done that since I was a little kid. I hate not being able to smoke. But I’m doing it like I love it; I hate not being able to sleep with my wife but I’m doing it like I love it,” Tyson said
