Mike Tyson Gets Knocked Down For The First Time – February 11, 1990 (This Day In Boxing History)
At one point, Mike Tyson was never knocked out in his career.
But that came to an end when Tyson faced James “Buster” Douglas who pulled off one of the biggest upsets in sports history. Douglas knocked out Tyson in the 10th round of their world heavyweight championship match.
Tyson was 37-0 going into the fight. Douglas ended the streak with a barrage of punches that sent Tyson over the edge and onto the canvas.
Douglas was knocked down in the eighth round but got back to his feet.
