Miller Fell Asleep During Joshua-Parker

One of the rumored opponents for Anthony Joshua, Jarrell Miller, has begun to throw shade at the holder of four world heavyweight titles, claiming Joshua is “not as powerful as he thinks”.

Leading up to Joshua’s fight with Joseph Parker, Eddie Hearn claimed that Miller could be what draws Joshua for his first fight in the United States.

“He’s a threat. He’s got a great engine, he’s got great work-rate as well and he’s confident that he beats Anthony Joshu, said Hearn..

Miller, following the Joshua-Parker fight, spoke with Sky Sports, and invited the undefeated Joshua to fight him in New York this summer.

“Hell yeah, I will welcome him to New York. We can make the fight happen,” Miller exclusively told Sky Sports.

“It’s hilarious. Who have I fought to earn a title shot? Who did AJ fight to earn a title shot? Hilarious.”

Miller is set to fight on the Daniel Jacobs undercard against Johann Duhaupas, later this month, but may be looking past his opponent and towards Joshua.

Giving his assessment of Joshua’s performance against Parker, Miller claimed that “(Joshua is) not as powerful as he thinks.”

“I did not enjoy it. I fell asleep and my boys woke me up. Then my boys fell asleep and I woke them up.

“I thought Parker won but UK fans will think differently. Parker threw more punches, was more active, had a better jab. Joshua was getting hit by terrible stuff.

When asked by Sky if he could beat Joshua, he claims that his plan is to play spoiler in the heavyweight division.

“I know I can ruin [Joshua vs Wilder]. They’ve just got to give me my damn shot. Hell yeah, I’m too dangerous. Why has it taken so long for them to say my name? Now, they know what time it is.”
