Miller: Joshua Is A “Barbie Doll”
Jarrell Miller has been knocking out opponents left and right, but he’s ready to take on Anthony Joshua and challenge for his first world heavyweight title.
Miller has been pushing for a potential fight against Joshua, the unified WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion, for some time, even going as far as confronting him in a press conference earlier in 2018 advertising for the DAZN streaming service. Miller spoke to The Telegraph and called Joshua a “Barbie Doll” and alleged the British star has been protected.
“I knew someone had to push his buttons,” Miller said. “When you are babysat for your entire career and you think you are the king, it’s a shock when someone steps up to you and shows you that you’re less than a speck of dirt on their window. I don’t put on a front or act, I call him the Barbie Doll of the heavyweight division. I am more like the Penguin from Batman, the big bad villain.”
The 30-year-old Miller added he loves being a character outside of the ring, but that his main focus is to face Joshua and take away his world heavyweight titles. Miller is currently scheduled to fight on a DAZN card in January 2019.
“You need these big characters in boxing and everyone knows I am also a fun-loving guy who just loves his dessert. But inside the ring I am a terror and a monster. AJ has something I want so his head on a platter will be nice.”
