Miocic Looks For Cormier Rematch In Return
Following his first round knockout loss to Daniel Cormier, Stipe Miocic is “more motivated than ever.”
After breaking the UFC heavyweight title defense record in January against Francis Ngannou, claimed that he was the greatest heavyweight of all time, and with the loss at UFC 226 he hopes to continue his career long journey to be the best.
“Congrats to DC,” Miocic tweeted Monday. “Didn’t get the chance to say it in the cage, but let’s dance again and get a rematch before you call it a career.”
Congrats to DC. Didn’t get the chance to say it in the cage, but lets dance again and get a rematch before you call it a career.
Thx to my coaches and team.
Being the greatest heavyweight in UFC history is a career-long journey and doesnt end here. I’m more motivated than ever!

My brother it was an honor to share the cage with you. I know you’ll be back better than ever champ. Head up and good luck with baby. #father #husband #hero #champ #cle https://t.co/S6WIN9uNfX

While Cormier is interested in a fight with Mauricio Rua on the horizon, and a fight with Brock Lesnar aimed for January, Miocic may end up being Cormier’s final opponent before he hangs it up on his 40th birthday.
