Miranda Maverick Steps In As Late Replacement Vs. Erin Blanchfield At UFC 269

Five weeks before the fight, former Invicta FC champion Miranda Maverick has stepped in to fight with Erin Blanchfield at UFC 269.

Nothing is official yet, but sources say that the UFC is working on it.

Maverick signed in the UFC just a year ago and will hold her fourth fight.

She debuted against Liana Jojua, former Fight Night Global champion, and earned TKO victory when the doctor stopped the fight because of bleeding.

Her second bout was against Gillian Robertson, who she defeated via unanimous decision. However, in July, she suffered a split decision loss in a very close bout with Maycee Barber, whom she’s replaced at UFC 269.

Meanwhile, Blanchfield has fought eight times and suffered only one loss.

She made her UFC debut in September of 2021 at UFC Fight Night 192. She fought with Sarah Alpar and earned a unanimous decision victory.

UFC 269 will be held on December 11. The headliner will be a highly anticipated lightweight title bout, between the newly crowned king Charles Oliveira and the former interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier.
