This past Sunday, the world was in shock when Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and seven others were killed in a helicopter crash. A multi-time NBA Champion, Kobe and his daughter were heading to practice when the tragedy occurred.
Kobe’s influence in the sports world went above and beyond basketball. He was an international sensation and a role model for several figures in the MMA and boxing world. Several athletes from the combat sports world took to social media to honor Kobe and his daughter. Some posts include Daniel Cormier, who worked with Kobe on the ESPN+ analysis program “Detail”, Manny Pacquiao, Terence Crawford, Cris Cyborg, Dana White, Mike Tyson, Katie Taylor, Max Holloway, Claressa Shields and more.
