MMA Veteran Kyle Reyes Dies At 30 Years Old
A 30-year-old fighter was pronounced dead on Monday.
Randy Couture’s gym’s student, Kyle “Boom” Reyes, died several days after he underwent surgery to repair a torn bicep and broken hand, according to his family members.
Reyes (12-6) was born in Guam.
He made his professional MMA debut almost 12 years ago. He is one of the fighters who shared the cage with current featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski in 2014.
He has been fighting in several promotions, but last time he fought in one of the biggest Russian promotions, ACA, he earned one victory via first round TKO and one defeat.
According to several reports, on the following day of his surgery, he was not responding to his family members, and after that, they took him to the hospital. In the hospital, he suffered a collapsed lung.
Many MMA fans showed respect via social media including his former rival Volkanovski among others.
