Modafferi-Antonina Shevchenko Eyed For UFC Russia

With the UFC’s return to Russia just over two-months away, a women’s flyweight fight has been set between Roxanne Modafferi and Antonina Shevchenko.

According to a report from My MMA News, the two strawweight challengers will fight on the UFC Saint Petersberg card set for April 20th on ESPN+.

This would mark Modafferi’s first fight since her UFC 230 loss to Sijara Eubanks in November at Madison Square Garden. The 36-year old Modafferi would make St. Petersberg her third fight as a member of the UFC since joining the organization in 2017 for the Ultimate Fighter’s 27th season.

Standing across from the 14-year veteran is the older sister of current UFC flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko, who won her first UFC fight against Ji Yeon Kim at the TUF 28 finale in November.

UFC Saint Petersburg doesn’t have an announced main event yet.
