MP Matchmaker: Pacquiao-Thurman Fight Easy To make
Keith Thurman and Manny Pacquiao have two things in-common, the first being winning their last fight, the second that both fighters holding a claim to the WBA world welterweight championship.
For Thurman, he walked out of Barclays Center on January 26th with a win over Josesito Lopez, and Pacquiao would dominate a unanimous decision win over Adrien Broner.
With Pacquiao now under the Premier Boxing Champions banner, Sean Gibbons of MP Promotions feels a deal to fight fellow PBC fighter Thurman could be a simple process.
“We fight and work with Al Haymon. And if the senator directs that he wants to fight Keith Thurman, if he wants to fight Danny Garcia or if he wants to fight any welterweights in the PBC, we will go to Mr. Al Haymon and work on putting a deal together,” Gibbons told The Manila Times.
“We made the Adrien Broner in just about 10 minutes, so we’ll make the next one nine minutes. There is nothing difficult when you work with Al Haymon. It is smooth sailing in life. He is the best guy you can work in the business.”
Gibbons made it clear that Pacquiao is not wanting for opponents, as many want a shot at Manny.
“They all want to hit the lottery, and they all want to fight Senator Manny Pacquiao because they know that it is the biggest payday they could achieve,” Gibbons added
. “Everyone wants to fight the best fighter and the best fighter in the world is Senator Manny Pacquiao.”
