MTK Fight Night Set To Return To Action In July
One by one, boxing entities are looking to find ways back into the lives of others. MTK Global is taking the next leap forward. The promotion announced that “MTK Fight Night” will make its return in July. The United Kingdom will house the events, which appear to take place once a month.
No set location or date has been set. MTK Global will be complying with the safety guidelines provided by the British Boxing Board of Control.
“We are thrilled to announce that #MTKFightNight events will soon be coming back. We have all missed boxing massively over the last few months, so we really can’t wait,” MTK Global Vice-President Jamie Conlan stated in a release. “There are dozens of fighters champing at the bit to get back in the ring, and starting this summer we’re going to be matching them up in some extremely exciting fights.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity for MTK Global to do what they do best by putting on some brilliant 50-50 fights, and we’re confident that the fans will love what they see when #MTKFightNight events return.”
It is unknown if events will be outside the United Kingdom in the next few months. No MTK Global events are to be produced in the United States, due to Daniel Kinahan’s ties to an organized crime group.
Events will be featured on ESPN+ and will be in association with Top Rank, with no fans in attendance. Bob Arum’s team has plans in place to return in June with multiple events. Fighters competing at the MTK events should be announced soon.
