Muhammad Ali Scripted Series Sets Release Date

Prime Video has officially set November 4, 2026 for the premiere of The Greatest, an eight-episode limited series chronicling the life and legacy of iconic heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali.

The biographical drama stars Jaalen Best as Ali. The series also features a high-profile supporting cast, including Omari Hardwick, Michael Ealy, Amin Joseph, Dana Gourrier, and Kai Parham. Executive produced by Ali’s widow, Lonnie Ali, The Greatest holds the distinction of being the first fully authorized scripted series on the boxing legend’s life. Showrunner Ben Watkins (Cross) leads the creative vision behind the project in partnership with Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society, Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, and Authentic Studios.
