Nassourdine Imavov (17-4, 1 NC) secured a one-sided unanimous decision victory over Caio Borralho (17-2, 1 NC) at UFC Paris: 50-45, 49-46, and 49-46.
Imavov asserted his dominance from the opening bell, outworking Borralho. Imavov’s game plan invovled repeatedly beating Borralho to the punch in the exchanges and prevented all five of the Brazilian’s takedown attempts. His distance management and sharp jab kept Borralho from ever finding a rhythm. However, in his post-fight interview, Imavov said he may have been hampered by an early injury. The win was his fifth consecutive in the UFC and puts him in the conversation for a middleweight title shot against Khamzat Chimaev.
