Natasha Jonas Successful In Unifying World Titles

British professional boxer Natasha Jonas has overcome Patricia Berghult via unanimous decision with the score line of 99-91 and 100-90.

According to the experts, the match was closer than what the scorecard suggests.

As a result of this victory, the 38-year-old was successfully able to unify the WBO and WBC super welterweight belts. The match was a ten-round fight scheduled at Liverpool’s M & S Bank Arena.

Coming up against the undefeated Berghult, Jonas showed a lot of maturity as she is 10 years older than her opponent.

Even though she lost a couple of rounds, she managed to turn back the clock by putting away all of the remaining rounds. The British boxer showed the heart of a champion and the ability to never give up during the fight.

In the last few rounds of the fight, Jonas made Berghult miss out on her punches before landing some of her own brutal hooks on the head and the body.

Even though Jonas was in the driver seat in the last few rounds, Berghult would simply not go away and try to fight till the end. She kept plugging away till the final bell was rung, which meant that Jonas had to make a decision via the scorecard.
