Nate Diaz Blasts UFC 223 Main Event
One person not impressed with Max Holloway replacing Tony Ferguson in the main event of UFC 223, Nate Diaz.
Diaz who has his own list of demands to return to the Octagon, took to Twitter on Sunday to lambaste the UFC matchmakers for setting up Holloway and Khabib Nurmagomedov on April 7th in Brooklyn.
Lol these guys can’t even make it to war..

While some may claim the UFC is winging it, they did admit they outright dismissed the idea of current lightweight champion Conor McGregor, being the one to face Nurmagomedov with just six days notice, even though Holloway is coming off an injury that kept him out of his February fight with Frankie Edgar.
The man Edgar ended up facing, Brian Ortega confirmed that he also was asked to step in to face the popular Russian fighter, but would end up being passed over for Holloway.
For the record, Dana called me yesterday to see if I would step in against Khabib since Max hadn’t responded yet. I said yes. Eventually, Max replied and Dana gave him the fight. If all goes according to plan, I’ll get my turn – at both of them.
