Nate Diaz-Dustin Poirier To The Octagon? Tweets Seem To Show They Agree For A Fight

Nate Diaz and Dustin Poirier keep exchanging words on social media.

Their bout was booked nearly three years ago, but this battle has never happened due to Poirier’s hip injury. On social media, after trading some words, it seems like that they agreed to fight. Since it’s not official, it is unknown if anything will be materialized.

Poirier is the No. 1 ranked lightweight. After defeating McGregor twice in a row, he is most likely to fight for the lightweight gold against Charles Oliveira.

If McGregor manages to recover fully from his leg injury, a fourth battle between “The Notorious” McGregor and “The Diamond” Poirier will happen, according to UFC president Dana White.

The last time Diaz fought was at UFC 263. He shared the octagon with Leon Edwards, and it was a historical battle because it was the first-ever five-rounder fight in UFC history, which was not for the title or main event of the evening.

Still, Poirier has a lot of options right now.

He can wait for McGregor, he can fight against Diaz or fight for the title.
