Nate Diaz Investigated For Combate Americas Brawl
Following his involvement in a fight that broke out at a Combate Americas event, The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department have begun to investigate Nate Diaz.
Initially reported by MMA Fighting, Deputies responded to the event which took place at McClellan Park, California, where a scuffle broke out between Diaz and UFC fighter Clay Guida. Following the incident, Guida has accused Diaz of battery, per Sacramento sheriff spokesperson Sgt. Shaun Hampton.
Guida’s manager John Fosco stated that Diaz shoved Guida from behind unprompted, causing Guida to fall and bust his lip on a metal guardrail.
One of Guida’s training partners, Tyler Diamond, took to Twitter following the incident and accused Diaz of slapping him amidst the altercation.
I was talking face to face with Clay, he got pushed & I saw Nate & about ten other dudes so I stepped up with my arms out trying to descalate the situation & Nate then slapped me while one of his groupies rabbit punched me.

Tyler Diamond, Guida’s training partner at Team Alpha Male and a cast member on The Ultimate Fighter 27, took to Twitter on Friday night to accuse Diaz of slapping him during the altercation.
Hampton told MMA fighting, that the case against Diaz has been assigned to a detective, and the sheriff’s department will open up an investigation.
“If it is found the victim was assaulted then a warrant request will be completed and submitted to the District Attorney’s office for review,” Hampton said. “The filing decision will be up to the DA.”
