Nate Diaz Says He Rejected Conor Comeback Fight

Nate Diaz (21-13 MMA) revealed he recently turned down a UFC contract offer for a trilogy bout against Conor McGregor.

Diaz, 40, explained that while the UFC was eager to book the third installment, the fight doesn’t align with his competitive goals: “They wanted me to come back and fight Conor, but he’s on his last dying f—ing leg, literally.” With McGregor off the table for now, Diaz has made it clear who he really wants to face. 

Diaz has officially called for a shot at the BMF Title. The belt is currently held by Charles Oliveira, who captured it by defeating Max Holloway at UFC 326 in March 2026. Diaz will face Mike Perry on May 16, 2026, his first MMA since submitting Tony Ferguson in 2022 at UFC 279. If he gets past that, he has eyes on facing Oliveira. Diaz says, “Oliveira is the one doing a good job right now. If I’m going back to the UFC, I’m going for that BMF belt. That’s my division.”
