Nate Diaz Sets Sights On Octagon Comeback At UFC 306

Nate Diaz aims to make a return to MMA at UFC 306 at The Sphere in Las Vegas.

Diaz has not had a UFC fight since beating Tony Ferguson via a fourth-round guillotine choke at UFC 278 in 2022. That was his first win since 2019, when he beat Anthony Pettis at UFC 241. Diaz has recently entered into the sport of boxing. He made his boxing debut in August 2023 against Jake Paul.

Despite making it to the final bell, he did have to get off the canvas in round five to stay with Paul. Diaz then turned down an MMA rematch with Paul as the Problem Child made a $10 million offer. The terms would require Diaz to fight under the PFL. Diaz was then linked with a boxing fight against Jorge Masvidal. Talks were reportedly ongoing, but no news has been announced over a date, leaving Diaz’s next move uncertain. But now MMA fans could see him making a return.

“I’ll be here f**k 300,” Nate Diaz stated

Possible opponents could be a UFC fight with Masvidal or Conor McGregor. Diaz lost his UFC 244 bout with Masvidal after the New York State Athletic Commission stopped it after a cut over Diaz’s eye. A trilogy with McGregor is also possible since their record is 1-1. Diaz won the first fight at UFC 196 in 2016, and McGregor got his revenge at UFC 202 in the same year. Fans have expressed their desire to see Diaz fight again.
