Nate Diaz wants Dustin Poirier to fight him at welterweight

Dustin Poirier has fought his way through to a title fight against Charles Oliviera but he might want to deal with Nate Diaz first. Poirier and Diaz have been scheduled to fight at UFC 230, but it never happened. The Stockton Slugger has now called out the Diamond on Twitter after the latter handed another loss to Conor McGregor.

But Poirier’s response was loud and clear. He does not mind facing any fighter because of the confidence that he now has in himself after thumping the sport’s biggest superstar in back-to-back fights.

On the other hand, Diaz is coming off a loss to Leon Edwards. He lost to Rocky via unanimous decision on his comeback after the Jorge Masvidal loss. The Slugger has lost both of the last fights, hence, the UFC might not give him whatever he wants just now.

The best that seems for both cash cows – Diaz and McGregor – is to give them the trilogy fight to settle their scores. As for the Diamond, Oliviera is waiting for him to make his first title defense since he upset the odds to beat Michael Chandler this year.
