Nate Diaz Wants To Headline At UFC 300

Nate Diaz’s preference is to headline UFC 300 for his next fight.

Diaz has not fought in any combat sports form since he boxed Jake Paul on August 5, 2023. He lost a unanimous decision, but there was a rematch in the works. Paul and PFL Chairman Donn Davis offered Diaz $10 million for an MMA rematch, but Diaz has been clear about not signing with the PFL. Part of the reason Diaz turned it down was his displeasure towards the organization.

“We can box or fight MMA. No problem. F**k PFL and f**k u,” Diaz

Diaz’s last UFC fight occurred at UFC 279 when he secured a win over Tony Ferguson. Diaz has been linked with fighting Jorge Masvidal after ‘Gamebread’ announced he was coming out of retirement. Jake Paul leaked Masvidal’s potential opponent by naming Diaz before removing the social media post. Masvidal did not respond to that leak, but Ariel Helwani announced ongoing talks. Diaz’s first option was a UFC return.

A rematch with Masvidal is possible. They fought in 2019 at UFC 244. Masvidal came out on top with a third-round knockout to become the inaugural BMF titleholder. Diaz could avenge that loss with a rematch on the card.
